Julie of Thoughts of a Smother Mother has had a year of changes. She’s lived through her first strike, having marched in the picket line with other Ottawa museum workers last winter. She’s moved on to a new museum, and is still working out the kinks that come with a new job, including an exciting new commute by bicycle.
And most importantly, she’s moved from being the mother to a toddler, to the mother of a preschooler. Her little jellybean turned three just last month. Now that’s a big deal!
Julie’s blog is a great place to read about the trials and tribulations of balancing work and home life. You might also find adorable stories about the jellybean, the occasional travel post, memories from her childhood, and, if you’re very lucky, the rare guest post by the Smother Father. Her blog is smart and funny, and all are welcomed with open, friendly arms.
