Come and See…Kids in the Capital!

Founded by Brie of Capital Mom and Lara of Gliding Through Motherhood, Kids in the Capital is Ottawa’s newest family-focused website. Local parents contribute a wide variety of posts, sharing some of the activities, attractions, events, and tips for things they love to do with their kids in this city. If you’ve got kids of any age, it’s a must-visit for ideas of places to go and fun activities to fill any length of time.

This spring, Lara started a photography series on the site. She shared her thoughts on how to take better pictures of children, and how to turn yourself into an impressive amateur photographer. She also invited readers to take part in her ABC photo challenge – to take one picture to represent key words she’d chosen for each letter of the alphabet. The photo group has really taken off, and many parents are now contributing fun and lovely photos of their kids. KITC will be displaying some of these shots at Blog Out Loud this year.
